Our ministry at Faith In Action is to move individuals into their purpose and destiny by placing their future into the hands of God. We train, equip and empower saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:11-12). At the evangelism training center we provide a place to pray, study God's word, live, worship, plan and witness together in a team and family environment. There is power in a team effort. Deut. 32:30 say's one can put a thousand to flight, but two can put ten thousand to flight. We believe in doing ministry and evangelism the way Jesus and the Apostles did ministry, that is by leading by example, hands on training and being led by the spirit.
We at Faith In Action have provided a place where everybody has the opportunity to serve
God regardless of their background, financial position and education. What you do need to provide is the desire, work ethic and passion to follow Jesus. At Faith In Action we believe in balance in ministry. A balance of God, ministry, work, recreation, fellowship and fun. To serve God effectively we believe you must have all of these present and working in our lives. If you want to serve God and absorb all that life has to offer you would love it here at Faith In Action. Jesus said "I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly." Some of the recreational activities we will be doing is going to the beach, six flags, hiking, surfing, fishing, hollywood, studio city, the mountains, baseball games and Disneyland.
We are looking for servant leaders. Believers that are mature in the Christian faith, that have displayed faithfulness in serving God (1Cor 4:2 ), have christian character and have a passion for the lost. We are looking for applicants who will give at least a one year committment and we put no time limit on your stay.
At Faith In Action we believe in the leading of the Holy Spirit and allow him to dictate your course of ministry. The leadership is here for your growth, your development of your spiritual gifts and calling. We provide training for what ever style of ministry your comfortable with wether it be going out two by two, praying for the sick, ministering to the poor and homeless, prophetic evangelism, open aire preaching, one on one witnessing, preaching, drama and other forms of evangelism and outreach. We have ministry techniques and styles that make them all fun and easy. Your ministry will change as you develop and mature your spiritual gifts. We arn't necessarily looking for the most talented or gifted but rather those who would submit under God's hand and minister out of his strength (In your weakness I am made strong 2Corn 12:9) It never ceases to amaze us how we've seen some of the most unlikely people turn into great men and women of God
and be used in a powerful way.
At the training center we believe in teaching and putting into practice the principles of the Kingdom of God, that Jesus taught. He taught you must die to live, you must lose to gain, weakness is strength, power is restraint, joy exists in the midst of suffering, love those who persecute you, pray for your enemies. These are contrary to the way of the world but we believe and know that these precede any promotion in the Kingdom of God (If anyone serves me, him my Father will honor John 12:26).
We at the center believe in miracles, gifts of healing, prophecy and signs and wonders. Jesus said, "These signs will follow those that believe and greater works shall you do when I go to the Father." Modern day giants in the faith like T. L. Osborn and others have shown the body of Christ that miracles and healing are one of the most effective ways to win the lost and by the grace of God we at the center here have several testamonies of the love and power of God (the gospel does not consist in word but in power 1Corn 4:20). At Faith In Action our promise to you is that the vision is big enough, the belief level high enough and the Holy Spirit free enough for anyone to fully move into their destiny.
At the evangelism training center you will hear annointed guest speakers and teachers. You will learn about the false religions and how to witness to these various groups. We will take trips to the Harry Krishna temple, various Hindu and Buddist temples and Moslem mosques in Los Angeles to see first hand what they believe and to develop a passion to reach these people. Also this ministry very much has a world vision, we plan to go to a foreign mission field towards
the end of the year. Jesus said, "go into all the world" and here at Faith In Action we believe you must be able to win souls here before you can win them anywhere else. This ministry is an excellent training ground for missions.
At the center we will be useing training resources by T.L. Osborn, Derek Prince, Bernie Cull and Pastor Brian Zahnd to name just a few. These are proven ministry tools and it is a privelege to have these men of God speak into this ministry. We will be networking with various ministries, organizations and agencies to meet the needs of people we come in contact with. Jesus not only gave the gospel but he helped meet peoples physical needs also, so we do the same.
We don't believe in debt at Faith In Action. You work a part-time job and train for ministry part-time and as you grow and mature you work more into full time ministry. Expenses will be met by all or a combination of the following: part-time job, support from friends, relatives, donors and donations from church's that Faith In Action network's with.
